Aesop’s Fables

You’ve probably heard of some of these stories. Aesop’s Fables is a collection of short, moral-teaching stories that were written by a slave who lived in ancient Greece. The Library of Congress has a beautiful copy of this book, complete with detailed and intricate drawings. These stories, including The Lion & the Mouse and The Town Mouse & the Country Mouse are a fun way to pass the time.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, written by Mark Twin (also known as Samuel Langhorne Clemens) is a story about morality, adventure, and a the pre-Civil War South. This tale is one that you won’t be quick to forget, and the Library of Congress has blessed us with a crisp, clean eBook containing this very story.

The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland

You probably know this story from the animated Disney movie, but to be a real scholar, you should also read the book. This story is about Alice, a young lady who falls down a rabbit hole and finds herself in a crazy, fantastic world that defies the laws of logic. To find out more, read this book!
