With the newfound leisure you might be finding yourself with during this quarantine period, it’s not too bad of an idea to start exploring your Netflix options and see what shows you might have been missing out on beforehand! As an avid Netflix user, here are some of my recommendations:

Altered Carbon
Like action? Sci-fi? Murder mysteries? This series has it all. Taking place in the distant future, the rich are able to achieve immortality through transferring their consciousness to different bodies. Find out what happens when a former interstellar warrior of a failed uprising is given a second chance at life in exchange for solving the murder of a wealthy businessman with an ego to match his bank account. With beautiful visuals, complicated characters, and constant twists and turns, Altered Carbon will surely grasp your attention and leave you entranced by its amazing world building and stellar plot line.
The Politician
Humorous, endearing, and drama-packed, The Politician presents a satirical portrayal of electoral politics through flawed yet endearing characters that show us the gray area between pursuing your ambitions and being a good person. With amazing costume designs and beautiful set designs, The Politician is an amazing visual feast that will leave your eyes wanting more. If you love political dramas and/or lighthearted comedies, The Politician is definitely a show to check out!
Money Heist
Money Heist is an action-packed, binge-worthy show surrounding a group of various criminals attempting to pull off a bank heist worthy of the history books. Despite the shady origins of many of the characters, their complex and dynamic personalities keep you rooting for them and their subversion of the forces that wish to see them fail. All 4 seasons of this show are accompanied with twists and turns that will keep you interested throughout the entirety of its story line.
Control Z
As an excellent twist on your normal teen drama, Control Z tackles issues such as bullying, hacking, and the dangers of social media through the perspective of a young teen girl trying to navigate the intricacies of life and high school. The main plot surrounds a mysterious figure who is behind all the recent hacks in a high school and the journey our protagonist goes through in her attempt to find out who’s really behind it all. If you like mystery, thrillers, and dramas, Control Z is the show for you.
