One sheet of paper can open up a whole new world. Such, is the way of origami. The origami boat was the first origami that I learned and first introduced me to these paper wonders. Not only is is easy to make and functional, all you need is a plain piece of printer paper. Yes, the rectangular one. With this origami, there is no need to struggle trying to cut your paper into the perfect square. Just grab a sheet of paper and get ready to fold.
- Fold the paper in half hamburger style
2. Make a crease down the center of the folded paper
3. Next, fold the two top edges toward the center crease
4. Fold the top layer flap up
5. Flip over and repeat on the other side. Then flip back to original side
6. Place your thumbs between the two layer from the bottom. Pull out at the position of the crease to create a square
7. Fold up the flap
8. Flip over and repeat on other side
9. Repeat step 6
10. Pull down the tips at the top of the rhombus and flatten
And that’s it! Get creative with markers and crayons to make a boat truly unique and get ready to set sail into a world of new adventures. The mYeBEAT team is happy to keep you up-to-date, entertained, enriched, and safe! Check in on us every week for new content – see you soon!
