All of us have experienced chaotic times with no end in sight. Often, we let the burdens in our minds take over, leaving us stressed out. Here are a few exercises to remind you everything will be alright 🙂

Meditation

Meditation has been known to quiet down chaotic minds and bring a sense of peace, as well as balance. There are many forms of meditation, but the simplest form is deep breathing. You can try deep breathing just about anywhere to calm your thoughts. For more details, visit here.

Yoga

Yoga does a wonderful job of bringing together the mind and body to achieve a healthy and peaceful balance. Particularly, hatha yoga is a good stress reliever because of its slow and tame movements.

Physical activity

Exercise has the ability to activate your feel-good endorphins and reduce stress levels. Not to mention, physical activity does not have to be a thirty-minute workout, it could very well be housecleaning or gardening. If you are looking for a workout, click here.

Box breathing

This simple breathing exercise has been known to improve concentration and drive away irritating thoughts. The whole process revolves around four-second intervals: breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold. Spend four seconds on each step and complete a total of three to four cycles.

Laugh 🙂

Laughing lightens your mental burdens and cools down the stress response. Not to mention, laughing can result in positive physical changes. Check out the giggles section and try to make yourself smile!

Music

Music is a wonderful distraction from the burdens you carry. Music can also decrease stress hormones and reduce muscle tension. If you ever need some suggestions, check out this post.
