Thanksgiving Popsicle Stick Turkey

by Kevin Cong

Hey!, it’s that time of the year again! (for the like 4th week in a row). As we all know, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and in my opinion, this holiday is criminally underrated. I mean, what is there not to love about thanksgiving! You get to meet up with family and friends, you get to eat some of the best food in existence (stuffing), and the list goes on. Here, in honor of thanksgiving, I have made a simple guide to making an origami turkey that will keep the kids entertained. Hope you enjoy.

Materials: For this, you would want some scissors, Elmer’s purple glue sticks, a bit of brown paper, a popsicle stick, and yellow/red paper.

Now that you have all of the materials, it is time to start! First, glue the body of the turkey that you cut out to the popsicle stick.

After this, Use googley eyes or simply a pen to make the eyes.

Adorable! Now, Let’s get the finishing touches on the face. And make some feathers for the turkey. To do this, just cut alongside an edge of a piece of colored paper and make half-raindrop shapes.

Perfect, Now, all that is left is to glue them on and you have an origami turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving and see you next week!
