Kuru Toga Mechanical Pencil

by Eric Zeng

I personally use the Kuru Toga Advance for all my studies and you should too. It has been a reliable and consistent mechanical pencil for some time already.

Now, the pencil itself is pretty interesting. The mechanism rotates the pencil lead so that it always stays sharp. If you plan on getting the Kuru Toga, get the advance for any English writing, but for more dense writing systems, use the original.

This pencil is great to use for students especially. It can take 0.5mm lead, which is great for crisp writing, fine details, and less smudge. The eraser is standard, being small and useless. However its benefits make up for having to carry an extra eraser.

It has a very durable feel, and it has never failed me once. It will be a pencil you love from the start and always rely on.

The point of the pencil has a lead protector, so it does not chip or break off. There are rarely any issues with jamming or broken lead pieces. Once you put in lead in the storage, you will forget about it for a while. Since it does have a spinning mechanism, your lead will last for a very long time.

Need a better pencil? Try out the Kuru Toga.
